Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a motivated Sheet Metal Apprentice to join our commercial construction team. You will assist with installation, fabrication, and HVAC ductwork under Journeymen and Foremen. This hands-on role offers training, growth opportunities, and a fast-paced work environment.

A strong work ethic, basic math, and teamwork are valued; prior sheet metal experience is a plus but not required. Benefits include health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sheet metal, HVAC, or commercial construction experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school or craft training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and assembly of commercial HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and other equipment safely.
• Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment per Upchurch and OSHA requirements.
• Assist with material handling, layout, and installation activities.
