Job summary

Express Employment in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a hands-on HVAC Design Engineer to support the design and development of custom HVAC systems used in mission-critical environments. You will turn designs into production-ready drawings, create accurate SolidWorks packages, and collaborate with systems, controls, electrical, production, and field teams to ensure manufacturability and installation feasibility.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of design engineering experience.
• HVAC industry experience required.
• SolidWorks or similar CAD experience.
• CSWP a strong plus.
• Familiarity with GD&T.
• Experience with PDM systems and engineering documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing process understanding.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Ownership mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design and revise custom HVAC systems, assemblies, and fabrication drawings.
• Create production-ready drawing packages using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with systems, controls, electrical, production, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify design issues on the production floor and develop standardized solutions.
• Support manufacturability and installation feasibility.
• Assist with component selection, layouts, and engineering documentation.
• Utilize and maintain PDM systems and revision control.
