Silgan Containers in Kenosha, WI is seeking an HR Generalist to support our 24/7 manufacturing plant. You will build strong relationships with hourly employees, supervisors, and plant leadership while handling employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, HR administration, and engagement initiatives.

The role emphasizes a hands-on presence on the plant floor, compliance with federal and state laws, and collaboration with corporate HR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 years of HR experience in manufacturing or 7+ years of HR Generalist experience.
• Strong employee relations and engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with hourly employees, supervisors, and plant leadership.
• Maintain a regular presence on the manufacturing floor and engage with employees across shifts.
• Coordinate recruiting, interviews, and onboarding using Workday ATS.
• Administer HR documentation, benefits, and compliance; process payroll-related tasks.
• Support FMLA, leave tracking, and leave management as needed.
