As a Hardware Engineering Intern in Austin, you’ll work with seasoned engineers on cutting-edge batteries, inverters, and microgrid interfaces. You’ll learn by doing and ship meaningful hardware, with mentorship and real-world impact.

Qualifications

• Current junior or senior undergraduate or graduate student in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical or mechanical engineering depending on focus.
• Hands-on hardware development mindset with real-world impact.
• Experience with CAD design: SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools KiCad or Altium.
• Curious, self-motivated, and eager to tackle hard problems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, simulate, build, and test electrical and mechanical systems.
• Participate in hands-on prototyping, debugging, and iterative testing of hardware.
• Support R&D and production efforts—from breadboard to high-volume manufacturing.
• Help diagnose and solve real-world performance, thermal, and integration issues.
• Contribute to system documentation, test procedures, and design reviews.
