Job summary

Brooklyn non profit is seeking a Licensed Handyman Vocational Skills Instructor to teach a series of hands-on classes designed to prepare participants for employment in the handyman and home maintenance trades.

The instructor will mentor students, deliver engaging classroom and workshop sessions, and cover core handyman skills including drywall repair, interior painting, plumbing, basic electrical maintenance, and tile work.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching hands-on vocational training.
• Licensed handyman status or equivalent.
• Ability to mentor and guide students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in classroom and workshop settings.
• Teach core handyman and home maintenance skills.
• Cover drywall repair and patching, interior painting and finishing.
• Cover plumbing repairs and fixture replacement.
• Cover basic electrical maintenance and tile repair/installation.
