Job summary

Achieve is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Alabama to perform maintenance and improvement projects across residential homes and agency facilities. This hands-on role covers carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC troubleshooting, with a focus on safe, efficient preventive and corrective work.

Responsibilities include responding to work orders, performing preventive maintenance, landscaping, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Two years of experience in building/property maintenance preferred.
• Carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic electrical/plumbing skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs to facilities and residential properties, including carpentry, drywall, painting, siding, decks, basic electrical and plumbing work, and appliance troubleshooting and repair.
• Complete preventive maintenance and troubleshoot building systems and equipment, including furnaces and air-conditioning systems, performing minor repairs as appropriate.
• Maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment in accordance with applicable blueprints, manuals, codes, and established maintenance standards.
• Respond to work orders efficiently, prioritizing emergency requests and completing scheduled maintenance and service requests in a timely manner.
• Support seasonal and exterior property maintenance, including landscaping, lawn mowing, snow removal, deck staining, and other projects that improve the safety and appearance of properties.
• Promote a safe and professional work environment by following safety procedures, properly using required safety equipment, maintaining assigned tools and supplies, and adhering to organizational policies and confidentiality requirements.
