Job summary

The Salvation Army in Michigan is seeking a Property Technician to plan and perform upkeep of buildings, mechanical and plumbing systems, and vehicles in assigned areas. Duties include cleaning schedules, snow removal, minor repairs, and coordinating with vendors.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of maintenance experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, TEAMS, and SharePoint is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform upkeep of buildings, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Maintain safe, tidy grounds and perform snow removal.
• Perform minor repairs and painting; maintain floors and carpets.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs and services.
• Move furniture and assist in program setup/teardown.
