Job summary

Optimal EV is seeking a hands-on Vehicle Integration & Validation Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and validation of complete electric vehicle platforms. You will work across mechanical, electrical, controls, charging, thermal, chassis, and vehicle-level systems, performing inspections on prototype and production-intent vehicles and developing test procedures.

This role requires hands-on work on the shop floor, DFMEA development, and cross-functional issue

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive/Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience with automotive/electric vehicle development.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute complete vehicle integration and validation testing.
• Work on prototype and production-intent vehicles to identify issues.
• Develop test procedures and validation reports.
• Perform DFMEA and link risks to validation requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve vehicle-level issues.
• Support test facility operations at Plymouth R&D.
