Job summary

Turtlebox Audio LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Houston lab. You will move between hands-on soldering PCBA work, 3D printing, and crafting mockups for ID and validation, contributing to a dynamic product development team.

You will support engineering, industrial design, and quality, with growth opportunities as you build your practical skills across electrical and mechanical domains in a fast-growing outdoor audio brand.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on technical experience in electronics, mechanical assembly, prototyping, or related fields.
• Ability to flex across electrical and mechanical tasks.
• Proficient with standard lab equipment and reading schematics/assembly docs.
• Hand soldering experience including SMD and through-hole; fine-pitch rework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build working prototypes from schematics and design briefs.
• Hand-solder PCBAs and assemble prototype units from scratch.
• Run 3D prints and create mechanical mockups for reviews and testing.
• Prepare CMF samples and finish evaluations.
• Build and modify test fixtures and lab equipment.
• Keep the lab organized and stocked.
