Job summary

Bayer is seeking an Engineering Technician Intern in the United States (Missouri - Chesterfield) to work alongside engineers on real-world challenges in agricultural innovation and global product supply operations.

You will collect and analyze data, support testing and calibration, and help document procedures while contributing to safety and continuous improvement initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience and professional development.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with ability to solve problems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Familiarity with data analysis, automation, instrumentation, CAD, programming, or manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with testing, validation, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment, systems, and processes.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and report technical data from lab, greenhouse, field, manufacturing, and operations.
• Support installation, maintenance, calibration, modification, and qualification of equipment and instrumentation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, test reports, and engineering records.
• Assist with prototype development, fixture design, fabrication, and assembly activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Utilize software tools for data analysis, visualization, project tracking, and technical documentation.
• Participate in root cause investigations and problem solving using engineering methodologies.
• Support project planning, execution, and tracking including status reporting and milestones.
• Present project progress and findings to engineering and business stakeholders.
