Job summary

Qualified Technical Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Engineering Team Lead to support NASA's Aircraft Operations Division at Johnson Space Center in Houston.

This working lead role combines hands-on engineering with supervision of a small multidisciplinary team to deliver critical aircraft solutions for NASA missions. You will develop 3D Creo models, create detailed drawings, provide technical oversight, and manage staffing and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience OR
• Master's degree in Engineering with 9+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on engineering work (≈80%) while leading a small multidisciplinary team (≈20%).
• Create and modify 3D solid models and assemblies in Creo Parametric.
• Generate and maintain 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Provide technical oversight and review of engineering products (structural analysis, aircraft repair, systems integration).
• Plan and manage project staffing, schedules, and priorities to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Serve as primary technical interface with NASA customers.
• Identify risks and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Brief senior management and customers on project status and outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative, accountability- and safety-focused team culture.
