Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery seeks an hands-on Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities across two Bethel, CT facilities. This role focuses on advancing process capability, NPI, and growth through engineering innovation, with a cross-functional team on the production floor.

The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing engineering expertise, aerospace quality experience, and a proven track record of leading engineering teams to deliver on-time product launches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years engineering experience in aerospace & defense or advanced metal manufacturing.
• Strong manufacturing engineering expertise with hands-on floor presence.
• Experience leading engineering teams or as a technical lead.
• Working knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, and Nadcap requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead & develop engineering teams across both locations to support production, NPI, and technical problem-solving
• Drive process improvements to increase capacity, reduce scrap, eliminate downtime, and improve manufacturability
• Own technical aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI), including feasibility, tooling, and process development
• Partner with Operations to ensure manufacturing readiness and successful product launches
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methods
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for engineering and production issues
• Ensure process documentation meets AS9100 and ITAR regulatory requirements
• Support technology roadmap planning, including automation, tooling upgrades, equipment selection, and capability expansion
• Measure and report engineering performance and project status to executive leadership
