Boom Supersonic is building Overture, the world’s fastest airliner, and Superpower, a high-performance turbine engine. This internship embeds you with core teams to tackle real engineering challenges, not shadow projects.

Ideal candidates bring material science fundamentals, hands-on lab experience, and a passion for ownership on the shop floor and in the lab. Onsite, Centennial, CO, with a 12-week program and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Solid fundamentals in material science of metallics and ceramics.
• Hands-on experience in an M&P lab to test high-performance materials.
• Exposure to advanced processes including printing nickel superalloys.
• Hands-on manufacturing experience in a machine shop or production setting.
• Familiarity with machining processes, tooling, or quality control.

Responsibilities

• You will be embedded directly within core teams, tackling real, high-stakes engineering problems.
• Work across disciplines from materials to software to help Boom's programs evolve.
• Own a piece of hardware development from design through testing and iteration.
• Collaborate on process development and validation for production-scale hardware.
