Job summary

Tom Trese is seeking an Engineering Director to lead a growing engineering department in a hands‑on capacity. The role combines direct product design, development, and testing with department leadership to drive project execution and quality across multiple product lines.

The successful candidate will manage five direct reports, partner with the Chief Engineer on technical and compliance issues, and ensure timely delivery from concept through manufacturing launch in a 100% on-site Charlotte, NC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing.
• 2+ years of direct supervisory experience with reports.
• Hands-on product design and development experience required.
• Lab testing experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to work 100% on-site in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, manage performance and growth.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, project execution and resource planning.
• Perform hands-on product testing in the lab and contribute to design.
• Coordinate NPD projects from concept to manufacturing launch.
• Work with Chief Engineer for technical and compliance alignment.
