Job summary

AtriCure, Inc. seeks an undergraduate Co-op in engineering/quality to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly techniques, process development, design principles, and QA. You'll support the Model Shop, work with CAD software, build prototypes, and document development progress under a mentor.

The role offers exposure to prototyping, fixtures, tooling, and documentation workflows in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to collaborate across engineering and management teams.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student pursuing Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering/Technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Involved in building simple prototypes, fixtures, gauges, and equipment.
• Solving problems of basic to moderate scope and complexity.
• Assist in the design, fabrication, and assembly of working prototypes, fixtures, and equipment from the guidance of assigned mentor or shop management.
• Will be manipulating basic to moderate CAD files with multiple parts and assemblies.
• Able to work under the supervision and guidance of shop personnel and/or shop management.
• Responsible for supporting engineering activities and other company functions as assigned by supervisor.
• Identify assembly process or equipment improvements.
• Document all work in compliance with AtriCure Quality System requirements & corporate policies.
