Job summary

MJCC - CTT in Montgomery, AL, is seeking an Electrical Trades Instructor to provide engaging instruction, administer tests, and evaluate student progress and proficiency in the electrical trades curriculum.

Responsibilities include developing lessons, preparing materials, administering tests, supervising on-the-job training, coaching students, and delivering hands-on activities; the role requires strong communication, classroom management, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certified, licensed, or accredited by the State or a recognized professional trade organization.
• Two years of teaching experience preferred.
• Journeyman electrician status preferred.
• Three years of work experience as an electrician.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide industry-recognized instruction and training.
• Develop and prepare lessons; update curricula as needed.
• Administer and score tests; track progress and attendance.
• Identify and adapt materials for diverse learners.
• Tutor and coach students; supervise on-the-job training.
• Motivate and counsel students on behavior and study habits.
• Deliver hands-on activities in the career preparation program.
