Job summary

Voxel Innovations Inc. develops and manufactures precision components using Electrochemical Machining (ECM). We seek a Manufacturing Development Engineer for hands-on prototyping, process development, and experimental work to move parts from concept to production.

This full-time role based in Knightdale, NC focuses on running ECM experiments, tooling setup, and iterative process improvements while collaborating with engineers, machinists, and technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, machining, automation, engineering technology, equipment assembly, or related technical environment.
• Engineering degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial fields.
• Hands-on experience building, operating, repairing, or troubleshooting technical equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, technical docs, and simple schematics.
• Familiar with mechanical systems, pumps, pneumatics, sensors, wiring, and industrial gear.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, cleanliness, and documentation.
• Curiosity to understand core engineering principles and persistence in development.
• Ability to learn new equipment/processes and work independently with engineers and technicians.
• MANDATORY: US Citizen or Permanent Resident with I-551 card; visas not accepted.
• Submittal of a cover letter describing interest in Voxel and mission.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run engineering experiments, prototype parts, and development trials on ECM equipment.
• Prepare, inspect, assemble, and align electrodes, tooling, fixtures, and machine components.
• Configure machine recipes and parameters; monitor runs and document results.
• Measure tooling and prototype parts using precision metrology equipment.
• Assist in assembling and commissioning ECM machinery and supporting systems.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-documented work areas and experiments.
