Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a hands-on Service Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a DevOps and automation team in Merrill, WI. You will guide a team of 6-7 engineers (including offshore/contractors) and ensure delivery meets SLAs and KPIs while actively resolving issues as needed.

You will oversee orchestration across Azure DevOps, Git CI/CD, ServiceNow, and Control-M, supporting Java applications and mixed environments as the company migrates to SaaS and cloud-based workflows.

Qualifications

Strong people management and leadership experience.
Hands-on experience in DevOps environments and production support/operations.
Experience with Java applications and Apache servers.
Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing systems and incident management.
Experience with Control-M job scheduling and reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of a DevOps and automation team (6-7 engineers, including offshore/contractors).
Mentor DevOps engineers and automation team members to improve delivery and operations performance.
Ensure work aligns with SLAs and KPIs; act as hands-on leader when needed.
Oversee ServiceNow queues, prioritization, assignment, and resolution of tickets; monitor operational health.
