Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Data Center Network Operations Technician to join our infrastructure engineering team in Hillsboro, OR. This role focuses on physical repair and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, switches, routers, and related components.

You will perform hands-on repairs, manage hardware lifecycles, conduct routine maintenance, and coordinate with technical teams to minimize downtime. Strong troubleshooting and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

Technical diploma or certification in electronics, computer hardware, or related field.
Proven repair and maintenance experience with IT/network hardware in data centers.
Familiarity with Cisco/Juniper/Arista hardware and x86 servers.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on repairs and replacement of defective hardware components in data center equipment.
Manage the lifecycle of hardware components from installation to decommissioning.
Conduct physical inspections and routine maintenance on data center equipment.
Oversee inventory management of spare parts and components.
Collaborate with technical teams to minimize downtime during hardware failures.
Document repair activities and update system configurations as needed.
Execute basic physical layer troubleshooting including cable testing.
Support new hardware installations and physical setup of network/server infrastructure.
Participate in emergency response teams to address urgent hardware issues.
