Job summary

Hut 8 Corp. in Miami, FL, seeks a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer to operate and continually improve security controls across corporate IT, cloud, data center, mining, and AI/compute environments.

You will configure SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, IAM, firewalls, and cloud security, monitor events, investigate alerts, and support incident response with threat containment and remediation. This role emphasizes automation and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with security monitoring, SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, IAM, endpoint security, firewalls, or cloud security tools.
• Working knowledge of networking, OS, authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, and common attack techniques.
• Experience investigating security alerts or incidents and documenting findings and remediation.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform and familiarity with SaaS security and enterprise identity services.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and improve security controls across IT, cloud, data center, mining, and AI/compute environments.
• Configure and improve security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, IAM, firewalls, and cloud security.
• Monitor security events, investigate alerts, support triage, and escalate incidents per procedures.
• Support incident response activities including containment, eradication, and post-incident remediation.
• Develop and maintain security automation, scripts, dashboards, and workflows to improve coverage and response time.
• Participate in security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and control-validation exercises.
