Job summary

APEX Technical School is seeking a Construction Instructor to lead hands-on building activities for students who want to learn practical trades. No prior teaching experience is required; you bring the skills and we provide the rest, including tools and materials.

You will guide learners through carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks and safety practices in a hands-on setting, with a full-time schedule and access to shop facilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on fieldwork in construction including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
• Kitchen and bathroom remodel experience.
• Framing, sheetrock, roofing and siding experience.
• Basic branch circuit knowledge.
• Experience installing Plumbing Fixtures and DWV.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and manuals/electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Teach hands-on construction skills to a group of students.
• Provide and manage tools and safety equipment for classes.
