Job summary

Utilities One in Voorhees, NJ, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead finance, accounting, and operations support for a multi-sector utilities-focused company.

The CFO will guide budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and executive financial strategy across telecom, power, water, renewable energy, and data center projects. A hands-on execution mindset and CPA qualification are highly valued in this fast-growing organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecom, utilities, infrastructure, or construction contracting.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and advise CEO on financial matters.
• Strong background in project-based finance, job costing, and operating margins.
• CPA or equivalent financial qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Possess executive-level knowledge of financial, accounting, and operational functions and support CEO and executive management.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team to ensure timely financial reporting and analysis.
• Lead accounting processes to ensure regulatory compliance, proper records, and internal controls.
• Prepare for and participate in monthly project reviews with CEO, staff, and project managers to assess performance and risks.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes and implement best practices.
• Advise CEO on financial aspects of contracts and manage financial risk.
• Oversee cash flow management, credit/collections policies, and change order management.
• Motivate and advance the accounting/finance team to align with operational vision.
