C&H Solutions in Ault, Colorado is seeking a CAD Designer / SolidWorks Drafter to join our welding and fabrication team. You will turn ideas into detailed drawings and 3D models, collaborating with welders, fabricators, and customers to develop practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
• At least 1 year of drafting experience or relevant technical education.
• 4+ years of SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drafting and 3D modeling.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Experience with metal fabrication and welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Design metal structures and fabricated components per requirements.
• Convert concepts into detailed fabrication drawings and plans.
• Collaborate with fabrication team to ensure practicality and accuracy.
• Prepare drawings and specs to support manufacturing.
• Assist with material selection and production planning.
• Create files for CNC plasma cutting and assist with operations.
• Review drawings for issues and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with customers to develop design solutions.
• Maintain organized drawings and project documentation.
