Contract Pharmacal Corp in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a hands-on Automation & Controls Engineer to support, troubleshoot, and improve a wide range of manufacturing equipment in a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role thrives on being on the production floor, directly interfacing with machines, controls, and electrical systems.

The position is full-time with hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay ranges from $90,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on experience, with start date

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience with automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot PLC, electrical, and control system issues across manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Design, implement, and optimize machine control systems (PLCs, HMIs, servos).
Own automation documentation and standards: PLC/HMI programs, electrical drawings, equipment docs.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations for repairs, improvements, and change control.
Mentor mechanics and technicians; promote safe work practices and first-time-right execution.
