Job summary

Amarillo College seeks an Adjunct Faculty member in Automotive Technology to deliver high-quality, learner-centered instruction across automotive and related technical courses. Instruction may occur in classroom, lab, dual credit, online, or technology-supported environments with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning preparing students for automotive careers.

Required: Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or related field; three years of industry experience.

Three years of industry experience required

Responsibilities

Teach Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, and related courses as assigned
Deliver engaging, learner-centered instruction using classroom, laboratory, and instructional technologies
Prepare lesson plans, demonstrations, laboratory activities, and instructional materials aligned with course outcomes
Utilize approved syllabi and comply with instructional standards
Evaluate student learning and provide timely feedback
Maintain attendance and grade records
Teach day, evening, dual credit, online, and off-campus courses
Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment and support student success
Meet with students for academic support during office hours or by appointment
Participate in course and curriculum development and assessment activities
Maintain current industry knowledge through professional development
