Job summary

Crystal Hospitality Group is seeking an Assistant Superintendent - Construction for a hospitality renovation project in Stamford, CT. This role works on-site with the Senior Superintendent and Project Management to support day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, maintaining quality and safety standards, and helping keep the project organized.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience
• Hospitality, hotel, commercial renovation, or interior construction experience preferred
• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and monitoring field activities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Superintendent with day-to-day management of construction activities on site
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and field personnel
• Help establish and maintain daily and weekly work plans
• Monitor subcontractor progress and verify work complies with schedule, plans, specs, and quality standards
• Conduct regular job-site walks to identify conflicts, safety concerns, and schedule impacts
• Assist with site logistics, material deliveries, staging, access, and work areas
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Assist with inspections, testing, and required site activities
• Communicate field conditions and project issues to the Senior Superintendent and Project Manager
• Assist with coordinating multiple trades to minimize conflicts
• Maintain project schedule and track daily/weekly progress
• Monitor manpower and productivity; identify delays and communicate them to leadership
• Prepare for upcoming work and ensure subcontractors have necessary manpower, materials, equipment and information
• Participate in subcontractor coordination and weekly project meetings
• Maintain look-ahead schedules and daily activity plans
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Assist with quality-control inspections and punch-list activities
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrections with subcontractors
• Review completed work and prepare for inspections and subsequent trades
• Maintain professional, on-site communication with stakeholders
• Represent the company professionally on the job site
• Grow into a Superintendent role and gain experience in scheduling, coordination, quality control, safety, and documentation
