Job summary

CAF Management - The Marion is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance across apartment communities. You will respond to service requests, assist with turns and inspections, and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues to keep residents comfortable and safe.

This role offers hands-on work, long-term career growth, and opportunities to advance with the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of apartment maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances).
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with apartment turns, repairs, and unit inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
• Help maintain community grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Work with vendors and maintenance team to complete larger projects.
• Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines and company standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory.
• Communicate clearly with residents and team members to ensure satisfaction.
