Job summary

Manzana Products Co. is seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller to support the finance function at its new Sunnyside production facility.

This role ensures accurate accounting records, disciplined month-end processes, strong balance-sheet controls, and reliable inventory reconciliation. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance and site teams in a fast-paced food production environment, driving closures, reconciliations, and cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years as Assistant Controller or Controller.
• Experience in manufacturing or food production preferred.
• Solid understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and inventories.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end close schedules and journal entries.
• Reconcile balance-sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Inventory reconciliations between GL and physical counts.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasts.
• Support AP, AR, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting.
• Maintain organized records for audits and tax requests.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and HR to resolve issues.
• Strengthen internal controls at the new facility.
