Job summary

Fusion Incorporated, a family-owned leader in brazing and soldering automation near Cleveland, seeks an Assembly Supervisor in Willoughby, OH. This is a working supervisor role overseeing assembly and related teams, ensuring schedules are met and quality stays high.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Test, and Shipping, while mentoring builders and maintaining safety standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in machining, electrical wiring, pipe bending and fitting, pneumatics and hydraulics, and reading blueprints.
• Experience supervising a shop-floor team (about 5 years is a solid benchmark).
• Experience building electrical panels (about 5 years is typical).
• Deep time as a machine builder on automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the floor by supervising Assembly and Applicator teams and raising department capability.
• Build with the team on machine builds, sub-assemblies, and related work when needed.
• Keep material moving by ordering supplies and expediting parts with Purchasing.
• Protect quality by overseeing incoming inspection and coordinating with Shipping/Receiving.
• Partner with Engineering and during design reviews, attend production and Move-to-Test meetings.
• Finish the job by ensuring complete assemblies are crated and shipped.
• Support customers and the business by assisting Customer Service and Sales with build status.
• Work safely and perform other duties as assigned.
