Job summary

UFP Industries in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking an Assembler I for night shifts to construct and frame truss, wall, or floor components per customer specs. You will obtain parts, maintain supplies, and support efficient workflow while following safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include setup, fitting parts, operating hand tools, inspecting finished products, and keeping the work area safe and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• This role requires using a hammer for extended periods and good hand‑eye coordination.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools, such as a hammer, miter saw, reciprocating saw, nail gun and tape measure as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and end of shift cleanup.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards and corrects mismanufactured items.
• Performs duties consistent with safety and quality procedures and participates in safety and CI programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
