Job summary

FedEx is seeking a part-time package handler for an evening shift in Hebron Estates, KY. This non-driving role involves moving packages safely using scan/load methods and working in various weather and noise conditions. The position requires drug screening and a background check.

Shift schedule includes Mon 5:30 PM, Tue/Wed/Fri 6 PM, and Sat 3 PM starts. Pay is $20.25 per hour plus a $4.00 pay premium. Training will be provided, and applicants must pass screenings before employment.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs. from ground to chest level and move packages above 50 lbs with assistance or equipment.
• Able to walk and stand for long durations.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders as required.
• Able to communicate clearly in a noisy operations environment.

Provides movement of packages, documents, dangerous goods and/or supply support in a timely, safe and efficient manner through effective scan/load methods. This is a non-driving position (public roadways). Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Able to walk and stand for designated work hours. Able to bend and squat for designated work hours. Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level. Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one’s head if required at location. Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location. Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at location. Able to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment, is required.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
