Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide medically prescribed therapy within NGHS’ programs to restore function and prevent disability after disease, injury, or loss of a body part. This role serves child through geriatric patients, following population-specific guidelines and safety goals.

You will document procedures, collaborate with the care team, and help design proactive discharge plans while meeting department productivity standards and delivering

Qualifications

• Current license holder of the Georgia Board.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides medically prescribed therapy to help restore function across the life span.
• Develops and implements a plan of care aligned with medical findings and physician orders.
• Documents treatment procedures per professional standards and payer guidelines.
• Monitors patient progress and reassesses regularly to optimize outcomes.
• Contributes to department operations and maintains productivity standards.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the care team to ensure quality care.
