Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide medically prescribed therapy within NGHS’ programs to restore function and prevent disability after disease, injury, or loss of a body part. This role serves child through geriatric patients, following population-specific guidelines and safety goals.

You will document procedures, collaborate with the care team, and help design proactive discharge plans while meeting department productivity standards and delivering

Qualifications

  • Current license holder of the Georgia Board.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • One year internship experience preferred.

Provides care/service that meets the developmental needs of patients across the life span as appropriate to the patient population and as indicated on the skills and competency. This position will care for patients in the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Employee performs clinical duties in accordance with population specific guidelines and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined in policy and procedures.Minimum Job QualificationsLicensure or other certifications: Current license holder of the Georgia Board.Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree. Accomplishes good clinical outcomes (using national benchmarks and comparing to others in the same service area) and designs proactive discharge plans utilizing a team approach as demonstrated by cost management of patient stay and utilization for outside resources.Contributes to the effective operation of the department. Consistently meets and exceeds department productivity standards (monthly average). Demonstrates good time management and organizational skills to minimize patient waiting time, and improve efficiency.
