University Hospitals Elyria/Sheffield Outpatient Hand Therapist is a full-time position (40 hours/week), Monday through Friday, focusing on hand therapy within an outpatient setting.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program, Ohio OT licensure, and BLS within 90 days. Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, patient education, discharge planning, and documentation while complying with PHI and UH policies.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program required.
• Licensed by the State of Ohio to practice OT required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.

Responsabilidades

• Organizes and conducts Occupational Therapy program to facilitate rehabilitation.
• Directs patient participation in treatments to restore and improve function.
• Educates patient/family/caregiver on health information and prevention.
• Initiates and participates in discharge planning.
• Performs documentation, billing and department support activities.
• Complies with policies and standards; abides by PHI requirements.
