Job summary

You will work with a physician-led team, document care and billing, engage in research and quality initiatives, and pursue professional growth. The role requires standing, lifting, and transferring patients, with a schedule of Mon–Fri 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Advanced Certification as a Hand Therapist (CHT) required.
• An academic or professional doctorate degree is preferred.
• Current Arizona licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current/Active Certification by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (CHT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and re-evaluates patients, develops a plan of care, and provides evidence-based treatment.
• Specializes in upper extremity (hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder girdle) rehab and collaborates with a physician-led team.
• Completes required documentation of care and appropriate billing in accordance with guidelines.
• Engages in research, education and quality initiatives and pursues professional growth.
• Duties require extensive standing, walking, heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, and transferring patients.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy

Advanced Certification as Hand Therapist (CHT)

Doctorate degree preferred (PhD, DSc, OTD)

Arizona licensure as an Occupational Therapist

Hand Therapy Certification Commission (CHT) certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
