Job description

Performs a variety of hand soldering to all classes of assemblies, including surface mount, thru-hole, wires/modification and rework using a microscope. In addition, may perform more complex assembly operations as assigned by the production supervisor.

Job Summary
  • Assemble electrical or electromechanical devices or components using a variety of hardware/tools.
  • Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship. standard and class.
  • Perform verification tests in accordance with assembly instructions.
  • Perform work with minimal supervision and instruction.
  • Rework and/or repair assemblies as required.
  • Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members.
  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste. generated in their work area.
  • Perform other assignments as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to learn basic component identification skills.
  • Ability to perform simple task utilizing work instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic and routine repetitive mechanical assembly operations using fixtures and tools.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed assembly instructions.
  • Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members.
  • Must be quality-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of hand soldering.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
  • Ability to use tools and testing devices.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or other electronic certifications.
