Job summary

Danone is seeking a Hand Packer in Springfield, Oregon to manually package products, perform basic QC checks, and ensure accurate counts and weights. You will assemble boxes, apply labels, and stack on pallets while supporting machine operators with replenishments.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a minimum of 6 months of related experience. You must be able to work a 10:00 PM–6:30 AM shift and comply with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including keyboarding, email and data entry.
• Minimum 6 months of work experience demonstrating accuracy, dependability and teamwork.
• Maintain a safe working environment and operate as part of a cooperative team.
• Ability to obtain company certification for safe operation of an electric pallet jack.
• Willingness to adjust schedule to support 24/7 manufacturing, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package products, including folding, taping, labeling and stacking boxes on pallets.

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Hand Packer based in Springfield, OR!

Shift Details: Monday - Friday (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)

This entry level position is responsible for packaging products manually, performing basic quality control checks, including accurate packaging, package counts, and weight, evaluating product and package appearance. Assembles boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets. Places product on conveying systems and supports machine operators with basic material replenishments.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• You will prepare and packages products. Some duties include folding, taping, labeling, stacking boxes onto pallets, moving pallets with electric pallet jack.
• You will maintain clean and organized work area.
• You will Safely, efficiently, and accurately perform duties to manually move product through a production facility.
• You will follow standard operating procedures.
• You will engage in all safety, quality, and other company programs.
• You will understand and perform lockout tagout (LOTO) and other processes to assure safety for self and others on qualified machines.
• You will conduct self and encourage coworkers to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Company mission, values, and code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.

About You
