Job Summary

The Hand Load Operator I will be responsible for setting up and operating a hand load assembly line used for production of ADTRAN’s products.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assemble hand-loaded components on boards based on diagram, photo, and written instructions found in Fusion.
  • Ensure the correct placement and accuracy of hand-loaded components.
  • Perform tests on boards to ensure functional operation.
  • Route functional boards to Mechanical assembly area and non-functional boards to Repair Operator area.
  • Read and interpret Bill of Material (BOM).
  • Check and inspect products to ensure Q50 and IPC-A-610 quality standards are met.
  • Work on semi-routine assignments and recognize/indicate deviations from accepted practices.
  • Adhere to general instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments.
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance to ensure quality workflow.
  • Perform other duties as requested to ensure 100% quality, accuracy, and product verification.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience; prior manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills required.
  • BaaN ERP software experience required.
  • Ability to operate a manual pallet jack daily required.
  • No travel expected for this position.
