Overview

The Front Desk Supervisor assists the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests, prior to arrival and throughout their stay. The role also involves maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stress management skills.
  • Ability to handle guest objections and disputes professionally.
  • Proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Effective in problem-solving and data interpretation.
Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and staff.
  • Maintain attendance and appearance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and safety regulations.
  • Manage guest reservations, VIP requests, and communication logs.
  • Operate and troubleshoot front desk systems and communication devices.
  • Assist in training staff and supervising daily front desk operations.
  • Oversee check-in/check-out procedures, room assignments, and billing.
  • Ensure all duties on shift checklists are completed timely.
  • Maintain high standards of guest service and team communication.
  • Support revenue maximization through room merchandising.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff development.
