Job summary

The University of Denver Hampden Center seeks a knowledgeable and enthusiastic information technician. The candidate will process multi-format collections, use descriptive taxonomies in the processing and rehousing of physical collections, and will further add inventory control to the processed material by using a local organizational schema specific to the Hampden Center.

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Qualifications

• Experience in information or materials processing.
• Able to lift boxes up to 25-50 pounds and work in office/warehouse spaces.
• Valid driver's license; 21+; willing to operate a university vehicle and aerial lift.
• Ability to work independently and handle time-sensitive tasks.
• Familiarity with library workflows and cataloging systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-format collections and apply descriptive taxonomies.
• Rehouse physical materials and add inventory control using Hampden Center schema.
• Provide backup for daily Hampden Center operations and retrieval tasks.
• Lead process improvements and collaborate with department liaisons as needed.
• Support safety, security, arming, and unlocking responsibilities when required.
