Halliburton is looking for a Project Mgr (PM501-ESG)

Under broad direction, the Project Manager is responsible for medium to large scope projects, including high-risk full operations management projects with 1 to 2 rigs, or projects with more rigs and lower risk profiles. Responsibilities include managing risks in areas such as inter-PSL dependency, performance-based contracts, lump sum turnkeys, and third-party services. The role covers all aspects of project management as per company policies and performance standards, including:

  • Conducting contract handovers
  • Creating project charters and startup plans
  • Developing project management plans
  • Conducting contract reviews
  • Creating logistics plans
  • Establishing project baselines for scope and cost
  • Inspecting and mobilizing rigs and third parties
  • Reviewing well programs with technical and operational authorities
  • Conducting pre-spud meetings
  • Verifying well delivery completion
  • Reviewing performance against risk registers and budgets
  • Documenting lessons learned
  • Updating and closing project records and demobilizing resources

The Project Manager acts as the client interface, ensuring efficient and profitable contract management by coordinating all resources, including PSLs and third-party services, for safe project execution. The role involves long-term and medium-term planning, maintaining regulatory compliance, enforcing safety and quality policies, and personnel development. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • At least 8 years of related experience, including 4 years in oil and gas, with exposure to drilling, intervention, and completion projects
  • Experience in P&L and contracts management
  • Supervisory experience with team management skills

Essential functions include oversight of operations, contract compliance, project P&L management, technical integrity assurance, and regulatory compliance, with time allocations specified for each area.

The role involves autonomous decision-making under broad supervision, supervising others, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Physical activities may include exposure to elements and hazards, requiring flexibility, dexterity, and the ability to work in various postures.
