Job description

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider connecting bilingual and multilingual individuals with opportunities as freelance interpreters or translators. Our mission is to bridge communication gaps through excellent and compassionate language services.

We are seeking bilingual and multilingual freelancers for a 1099 Independent Contractor role. As an interpreter, you contribute to society by supporting language access for all, regardless of English proficiency. You set your own schedule, availability, and accept appointments accordingly.

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, but are not guaranteed and depend on demand.

Starting pay is $25 - $30 per hour, depending on language, experience, and demand.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and target language with cultural understanding
• Experience in interpreting, especially in medical, legal, or educational contexts
• Professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Basic communication skills
• Flexibility for different settings and environments
• Must be in and authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship)
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or certification in interpreting
