Job summary

homelandls is seeking Haitian Creole - English interpreters to support LEP patients, families, providers, and staff. You will provide interpretation, advocate access, and promote culturally sensitive care in a busy healthcare setting.

We require at least one year of interpreting/translation experience, a high school diploma, and fluency in English and Creole. Certifications are desirable. Flexible schedule and mobile device-based job selection available.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience as an interpreter/translator.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications are desirable (CMI, CHI, CCHI, Interpreting diploma, NBCMI).
• Fluency in spoken and written English and the language of interpreting; native-level fluency preferred.
• Professional-level medical interpreting and short non-publication translation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation for LEP patients, their families, providers, and staff.
• Advocate for LEP patients' access to the full range of health care services.
• Provide intercultural mediation to assist providers in delivering culturally sensitive patient care.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer experience, patient privacy & safety, and a teamwork spirit.
