Homeland Language Services is hiring Haitian Creole-English interpreters to support Limited English Proficient patients. We seek experienced individuals with at least 1 year in the field who can ensure effective communication and deliver culturally sensitive services.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work experience as an interpreter/translator.
• Certifications like CMI, CHI, CCHI, or similar are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation for Limited English Proficient (LEP) patients.
• Advocate for LEP patients' access to healthcare services.
• Deliver culturally sensitive patient care.

Skills

Fluency in spoken and written English

Native-level fluency in Haitian Creole

Professional-level medical interpreting skills

Short non-publication translation skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Interpreting diploma (for Certified Interpreters)
