Thom Child & Family Services in Worcester, MA is seeking an as-needed Haitian Creole Interpreter to support Early Intervention services. The role involves interpreting conversations during visits and meetings, with a Monday–Friday schedule during program hours 8:30am–4:30pm, on an hourly, part-time basis.

Responsibilities include providing written and verbal interpretation, collaborating with Early Intervention Specialists, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Haitian Creole/English.
• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual in Haitian Creole/English required.
• Ability to interpret written materials (text/email).
• Good computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting services during visits, center-based visits, group meetings and remote when necessary.
• Collaborate with team in a shared service delivery model.
• Maintain compliance with policies and regulations and confidentiality standards.

As an Early Intervention Haitian Creole Interpreter, you will be responsible for assisting Early Intervention Specialists by providing written and verbal interpretation services.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide interpreting services for Early Intervention Specialists and families during community-based visits, center-based visits, group meetings and remote when necessary.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team approach to service provision.
• Maintain compliance with all Thom Child & Family Services policies and procedures/DPH regulations and requirements.
• Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must be fluent in Haitian Creole/English.

• Ability to interpret written materials in the pursuit of service delivery (via text or email).
• Good computer skills.
