Position Details

• Business Title: Hairstylist

• Reports to: General Manager
• FLSA: Non-Exempt
• Hours Worked: Typically 15 hours/week, 7am – 12:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday. Must be flexible.
• Compensation Range: $20/hour (subject to variation based on factors)

Position Summary

The Hairstylist is responsible for executing protocols provided on panelists' hair.

Responsibilities

1. Follow study instructions and protocols, ensuring consistent application of products.
2. Perform comparison evaluations via half head testing.
3. Provide objective hair product performance evaluations.
4. Assess hair health and appearance from a consumer perspective and articulate insights.
5. Assist with protocol development and standardization.
6. Identify reference products for attributes.
7. Confidently style diverse hair types.
8. Drive qualitative understanding through product use and experience.
9. Assist in consultations and brainstorming sessions.
10. Provide calibration work on mannequins and live subjects.
11. Discuss hair user experience, products, and science effectively.
12. Follow client and company policies on quality, health, safety, and environment.
13. Comply with management systems and regulatory requirements.
14. Other duties as assigned by the manager.
