Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg is seeking a part-time hairdresser to join our team. The role operates on Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM within a 5-Star Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA.

You will perform shampoos, cuts, color and perms, maintain supplies, keep the shop clean and safe, and assist with front-desk tasks as needed. Experience with the elderly is preferred and a cosmetologist license is required.

Qualifications

• Cosmetologist license required.
• High school diploma required.
• Experience with elderly preferred.

• Maintain inventory and communicate need for additional purchases to Beauty Shop Coordinator.
• Perform general cleaning and maintain a safe, sanitary environment.

• Performs beautician duties including but not limited to shampoos, cut, color, perms, etc.
• Maintains proper inventory of supplies and communicates need for additional purchases to Beauty Shop Coordinator.
• Performs general cleaning and maintains safe and sanitary environment.
• Assists with receptionist duties as needed including but not limited to answering incoming calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments and maintaining charge records.
• Attends meetings and in-service programs as assigned by Beauty Shop Coordinator.

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Cosmetologist License required
• Experience working with the elderly preferred
