Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. seeks a Hair Stylist to enhance residents' self-image through beautician services in our long-term care setting. You will perform haircuts, shampoos and related services, and maintain records and supply inventories.

The role requires state cosmetology certification and at least two years of hair care experience, with compassionate, tactful interaction with patients and families. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, tuition discounts, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Certification by the State Board of Cosmetology is required.
• A minimum of two years' experience in hair care/beautician services is required.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with patients/residents, family members, visitors and the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform haircuts, shampoos and permanents as desired by patients/residents and/or families.
• Do manicures or pedicures as requested.
• Keep daily records in coordination with business office of patient/resident beautician charges.
• Maintain inventory of beauty supplies based on supply and demand.
• Ensure OSHA and safety standards are followed, HIPAA confidentiality maintained, and infection control followed.
