Job summary

Northbrook Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a licensed Hairdresser to provide compassionate cosmetology services to residents in a long-term care setting. You will perform haircuts, styling, perms, coloring, and beard grooming while maintaining safety and sanitation.

This part-time role offers daily pay and the opportunity to build a regular client base among residents and their families, with schedule to be determined.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Iowa Cosmetology License required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with seniors or in healthcare preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Resident-focused, patient and compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional hair care services as a Hairdresser, including haircuts and styling for men and women.
• Perform beard and mustache trimming and grooming services.
• Provide permanent wave (perm) services and hair coloring or touch-up services.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary salon environment.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Deliver services with patience, kindness, and respect while accommodating each resident's individual needs.

As a Hairdresser, you will deliver compassionate, resident-centered cosmetology services in a long-term care setting while building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and staff. Compensation: Daily Pay Available!

• Service-based role where the Hairdresser charges residents directly, with flexible earning potential

Schedule and Employment Type

• Part-Time Days | 1-2 visits per week (schedule to be determined)
