QLI is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part Time Hair Stylist to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. Your clients are primarily individuals with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries as well as other diagnoses. We are looking for someone to take pride in making sure they look and feel their best.

As our on-site Hair Stylist, you’ll work in a professional salon space located right here on QLI’s campus. No chair rental fees. No overhead. Just a supportive, collaborative environment where you can focus on what you do best—bringing joy through your craft.

Schedule:

• Part-time: 6–8 hours per week
• Flexible salon hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 AM–3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide haircuts and styling services that reflect residents’ preferences and needs
• Maintain supplies by checking stock, anticipatingresidents’ needs, and placing orders
• Maintain quality service by following hygienic standards
• Keep workstation and equipment clean and sanitary
• Collaborate to ensure safety for residents and team members
• Work in partnership with the front office team including the salon schedule

Requirements:

• Must have an active cosmetology license in Nebraska
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications
